A partnership agreement has been signed between RILEM, represented by Mark G. Alexander, RILEM President (2012-2015), and the New Zealand Concrete Society (NZCS), represented by Jeff Matthews, NZCS President.

The signing took place in two stages. First on 31st August 2015, RILEM President Mark Alexander signed the agreement during the 69th RILEM Annual Week held in conjunction with Concrete 2015, in Melbourne, Australia in the presence of  Dene Cook, former president of NZCS and currently a NZCS Council Member and Michael Khrapko, RILEM Regional Convener for Oceania. Then on 8th October 2015 Michael Khrapko took the agreement to the New Zealand Concrete Conference/Annual NZCS meeting in Roturua, New Zealand where NZCS President Jeff Matthews signed it.

The New Zealand Concrete Society facilitates the sharing of industry knowledge, participates in the development of concrete and construction & provides a foundation for building valuable business networks, in New Zealand & overseas.  NZCS  is a non-profit organisation where members reap the benefits of their combined contributions. It aims to encapsulate the wealth of expertise of its membership.

This agreement confirms the partnership between the two organisations and defines the framework of collaboration until 2018.
