RILEM EAC sponsored Doctoral school of COST Action TU1404 in Gliwice, Poland
The Five-day course based on Modelling of cement-based materials and structures at early age, which gathered 28 young researchers (PhD students and Early Career Investigators) from 12 European countries, has been concluded on October 13th, 2017. The course was dedicated to modelling of CBMs and concrete structures at different scales, and covered lectures, practical classes, poster sessions and self work of participants.
This year's training school has been organised by the Department of the Structural Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland, and hosted by the Faculty of Civil Engineering during the days of 9-13 Oct. Thanks to the engagement of Farid Benboudjema, Agnieszka Knoppik, Dirk Schlicke, Mateusz Wyrzykowski and Ye Guang, this week has passed not only in knowledge exchange and learning but also networking, all this in a joyful atmosphere of golden Polish autumn.
