New Lat-RILEM Presidium

The constituent Assembly of the Latin-American Regional Group of RILEM (Lat-RILEM) was held in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in October 2010. The purpose of Lat-RILEM is the same of RILEM: to advance scientific knowledge related to construction materials, systems and structures and to encourage transfer and application of this knowledge in all Latin-American Countries. The Latin-American Group is composed by all RILEM Members living or working in Latin-America.

The Presidium of Lat-RILEM is elected every 2 years. At the last election, the following members were unanimously voted:

President: Prof. Fernando Martirena (Cuba) 

Vice President: Prof. Romildo Toledo Filho (Brazil) 

Past President: Prof. Ruby Mejía (Colombia)

Members: Prof. Daniela Martínez (Colombia)

              Dr José Norambuena (Chile) 

Treasurer: Prof. Margareth Dugarte (Colombia)

Secretary: Dr José Manuel Mendoza Rangel (Mexico).

RILEM would like to welcome the new members and thank the outgoing members of the Presidium for their work over the past years.
