New corporate member

RILEM is thrilled to welcome on board a new corporate member: the Roads Laboratory Luigi Tocchetti of the University of Naples Federico II.

The Roads Laboratory Luigi Tocchetti is an academic research facility at the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering of the University of Naples Federico II. Its mission is focused on the advanced testing of asphalt-based materials for roads, railways and airports, development of innovative and sustainable solutions for asphalt pavement construction and maintenance operations, life cycle assessment and life cycle cost analysis. The laboratory offers scientific and technological support oriented to sustainability-based decision-making for authorities and companies operating in the infrastructure field.

RILEM would like to remind you that Cluster F is fully dedicated to Technical Committees (TCs) working in the areas of Bituminous Materials and Polymers. Cluster F has currently six TCs:

• 280-CBE : Multiphase characterisation of cold bitumen emulsion materials
• 295-FBB : Fingerprinting bituminous binders using physico-chemical analysis
• 307-PPB : Physicochemical Effects of Polymers in Bitumen
• 308-PAR : Performance-based Asphalt Recycling
• APD : Alternative Paving Materials - Design and Performance
• APS : Alternative Paving Materials - Sustainability
• FEE : Fume Emissions Evaluation for Asphalt Materials
