Abstract: Tunnel structures locate in detrimental conditions for tunnel has to be buried underground.

The complex exposure conditions affect the durability of concrete and reinforced concrete structure, for instance temperature, humidity, hazardous irons, carbon and et.al. Their manifold impact on the performance of a structure is important in assessment of serviceability of tunnel structures. The paper gives an approach in organizing site investigation of these factors with an example of a cross-river tunnel.
