Abstract: Results obtained from tests for the flexural characterization of fibre reinforced concrete (FRC)
using the notched beam as given by EN 14651:2005 (E) and RILEM TC 162-TDF, and using
the unnotched beam as given by JSCE SF4 and ICI-TC/FRC 01-01 have been compared for an
M25 grade concrete with polypropylene fibres. It is observed that good correlation exists
between some toughness parameters obtained from the two tests, making it possible to estimate
one set from the other, within acceptable statistical limits.
