Abstract: Rheological properties of cement-based materials are difficult to characterize due to many pitfalls: heterogeneities of materials, slippage, etc. This study focuses on the influence of the segregation under shearing of cement grouts on rheological behaviors by exploiting the flow curves using a rotational rheometer equipped with coaxial-cylinders. In parallel, the density measurements of the sample in the upper part of the sheared volume before and after the tests are carried out to study the sedimentation. A criterion which characterizes the potential of grouts segregation is also introduced. We then highlight that the sedimentation under shearing is accentuated by the lower air gap used.
