Control of Cracking of Mass Concrete and Related Issues concerning Early Age Craking of Concrete Structures contains two keynote and six invited papers and twelve general papers presented at ConCrack5 held in Tokyo, Japan, on 24-26 April 2017, which was co-organized by Japan Concrete Institute (JCI) and The French Institute of Science and Technology for Transport, Development and Networks (IFSTTAR), in partnership with RILEM. The topics covered are classified into 6 categories :
-Thermal Effects at Early Age: Reports from French, European and International Recent R&D initiatives
-Control of Thermal Effects at Early Age: Materials Approach
- Thermal Effects at Early Age: Creep Evaluation
-Thermal Effects at Early Age: Prediction of Stress and Crack Width
-Control of Thermal Effects at Early Age: Implementation in Real Structures
-Thermal Effects at Early Age: DEF Prevention
ConCrack is a series of international workshops on the control of cracking in concrete structures which were organized from 2009 by the French Joint Consortium CEOS.fr. At ConCrack5, "JCI Guidelines for Control of Cracking of Mass Concrete 2016" published by JCI were also introduced.
