Abstract: Tests have been performed on fresh concrete incorporating different dosages of steel and polyolefin fibers to study the flow properties as determined from simple tests such as the slump, DIN flow, inverted cone and slump flow tests. Furthermore, the rheological parameters defined according to the Bingham model have been obtained using a BML viscometer. The results indicate that the decrease in workability and flowability of the concrete with fiber content addition and time is reflected by all the tests and some correlations between trends from different test methods can be identified. Properties of the hardened concrete have also been characterized through compression and toughness tests to provide complementary information.
