Abstract: Freezing-thawing cycle is one important factor related with the durability of concrete. In this study, the X-ray industrial CT technique was applied to investigate the failure process of concrete material under the effect of the freezing-thawing cycles. Firstly, an experiment was designed in order to investigate the changing rule of the concrete specimens acted by a certain numbers of freezing-thawing cycles. Secondly, the variation of concrete porosity and the change of the whole volume of the concrete pore were summarized by scanning the samples with the X-ray CT technique. Finally, different factors related with the freezing-thawing process of concrete were analyzed and discussed. The changing rule of the porosity and whole volume of concrete pores appeared burst point at the No.30 cycle of freezing-thawing.
