Abstract:
Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) materials have been widely used as reinforcements for concrete elements, due to their non-corrosion characteristics and high strength-weight ratio. Experimental investigation was carried out to study the effect of CFRP grid and polymer-modified mortar on the shear bonding behavior of existing elements repaired by the materials. In the experiment, Acoustic Emission (AE) technique was applied to investigate the failure process of the specimens. Failure process of the test was estimated by SiGMA (simplified Green’s functions for moment tensor analysis) procedure.
