Abstract: 
In order to protect its high-strength concrete lining and polymer waterproofing gaskets in Lefortovsky Tunnel under the Yauza River in Moscow from fire hazards a special fire-protection coating has been developed. It consists of special composite binders and carefully graded fillers. As specified in performance requirements the coating is resistant to aggressive media as well as mechanical wear to withstand high-pressure water cleaning. Applied system places Lefortovsky Tunnel to the highest safety level according to the existing international requirements.
