RILEM Honorary Member Zdeněk P. Bažant

The award of RILEM Honorary Membership for Zdeněk Bažant was presented to him by Ravindra Gettu, RILEM Vice-President at the 9th conference on Fracture Mechanics of Concrete held at Berkeley, USA, 29th May - 1st June 2016. This award was approved at the RILEM Annual Week 2015 in Melbourne but Prof. Bažant could not attend the event due to other commitments. Prof. Bažant was very happy with the award and said it is a memorable moment for him since RILEM has been very close to his heart.
