New STAR-in-a-Nutshell 279-WMR

Between 2017 and 2023, TC 279-WMR Valorisation of Waste and Secondary Materials for Roads offered a platform for international cooperation to handle all aspects pertaining to the utilization of waste and marginal materials for roads; these have been successfully constructed using a variety of waste materials, but this is mainly at the research level or restricted to a few nations. TC 279-WMR established a solid and seminal framework for the assessment of selected waste and marginal materials, through inter-laboratory experiments, and the development of standard procedures for their selection, preparation, and implementation.

The State-of-the-Art report of TC 279-WMR was published in 2023 and edited by: Augusto Cannone Falchetto, Lily Poulikakos, Emiliano Pasquini and Di Wang.

The STAR-in-a-nutshell of STAR 279-WMR offers a brief overview of the contents available in this book. The purposes of this 3-page document is: 1) to provide some initial guidance to a non-expert reader, 2) to inspire more comprehensive reading of the STAR, and 3) to clarify the relevance of the contents before downloading the full STAR for further details.
