It is with a mix of joy and sadness that RILEM announces the publication of its latest State-of-the-Art Report: Total Alkalis in Concrete — Contribution to Alkali-Silica Reaction, State-of-the-Art Report of RILEM Technical Committee 258-AAA WP3, Edited by Esperanza Menéndez Méndez and António Santos Silva. The publication includes a heartfelt tribute to Esperanza Menéndez Méndez, whose recent passing was a great loss to the concrete research community.

 

 

New Volume of RILEM Tech Lett
 
The first issue of Vol.10 (2025) of RILEM Technical Letters (RILEM Tech Lett) is published! The first paper of this issue is Thermodynamic modeling: Success in cement science – Untapped potential in corrosion research. As all RILEM Tech Lett articles, also this one is available in Open Access!

RILEM EAC co-sponsors the doctoral course Volume Changes of Concrete, taking place on 4-8 November 2025, in Nanjing, China. The course is open to a maximum of 80 participants from all regions of the world. Participants should possess a fundamental understanding of concrete technology. All lectures and course materials will be in English.

RILEM is happy to co-sponsor the 17^th International Symposium on Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Reinforcement for Concrete Structures, taking place on 6-8 July 2026, in Girona, Spain. The call for proposals for special sessions closes on 30 May 2025. The abstracts submission deadline is 1 August 2025.
