Interview with Prof. Gettu
 
The RILEM Annual Week in August this year will mark the end of Prof. Gettu’s mandate in the RILEM Presidency. In this interview, Prof. Gettu reflects upon the association and his 18 years in RILEM.

 

 

GLOBE new leaders
 
Since June 2024, the Joint Committee on the GLOBE Consensus (JCGC) has two new leaders: 1) Prof. David Ruggiero, EPFL, JCGC Chairperson; 2) Dr. Edmundo de Werna, London South Bank University, JCGC Globe Senior Advisor. RILEM would like to thank Prof. Michael Havbro Faber for the work in his tenure position of JCGC's inaugural Chair. More info here!

Presentation of RILEM TC 281-CCC
 
RILEM took part in the last ACI “24 hours of concrete knowledge” event on Wednesday, 10 July 2024, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Paris time. The presentation was done by Prof. Nele De Belie, Chair of the recently closed RILEM TC 281-CCC Carbonation of concrete with supplementary cementitious materials. … The European Concrete Societies Network (ECSN) became RILEM Partner in February 2023? To strengthen the mutual collaboration, a webinar presenting RILEM was organised for ECSN members last month. If you missed it, you can watch the recording of that event here!
