… any RILEM member can become a Technical Committee (TC) member? Even if a member might not have the technical background on the TC topic, her/his request to join a TC will be accepted. This initiative aims to encourage all RILEM members to engage in new topics in the spirit of the mission of RILEM, that is to advance scientific knowledge related to construction materials, systems and structures and to encourage transfer and application of this knowledge world-wide.

 

 

Materials and Structures completed issue
 
Volume 54, Issue 4 of Materials and Structures is now available online. This issue features research outcomes on bituminous binders, metakaolin-based geopolymers, red-ceramic bricks, double-helix fibers for concrete reinforcement and many other topics delivered in 39 articles, 8 of which OPEN ACCESS.

 

 

Circular economy: an example
 
This is an amazingly good initiative to put into practice the concept of circular economy in the fashion industry. Imagine a world in which buildings have a “tag” that contains the information of all the materials in them, for a proper and fast recycling process!
