Bernhard HOFKO, RILEM Member since 2012, wonders how microscopic “bees” in bitumen affect the overall behaviour of asphalt pavements, which we all rely on for our daily mobility on walkways, bikeways and roads? Bernard is Chair of the new RILEM TC FBB “Fingerprinting bituminous binders using physico-chemical analysis” and he is hosting the RILEM co-sponsored event “European Asphalt Technology Association conference - EATA” in 2021 at TU Wien.
