RYC - RILEM Youth Council

  Surender Singh, RYC Chair

RILEM Youth Council (RYC) was created at the 74th Annual Week "in" Sheffield, United Kingdom, in September 2020, as a sub-committee of DAC.

In 2024, the General Council agreed to make the RYC a standing committee of RILEM.

RYC is formed by 12 young researchers nominated  for a 2-year mandate that can be renewed for a 3-year mandate.

A list of RYC members can be found here.

Structure:

  • Chair: Appointed by the RILEM Bureau upon recommendation from RYC Chair and DAC Chair.

  • Deputy Chair: Selected by the Chair from current RYC members to assist with duties and represent the Chair when needed.

  • Regional Representatives: One representative from each RILEM region, except Europe, which has two due to the high membership count.

  • Ex-Officio Members: The outgoing Chair and Secretary General.

  • Secretary: The RILEM Managing Assistant.
