RILEM WEBINAR: Benchmarking Chloride Ingress Models on Real-life Case Studies - Marine submerged and Road Sprayed concrete structures

The next ROC&TOK webinar of 2022 will take place on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 at 3PM Paris Time and will be one hour long (30-minute presentation + 30-minute interaction). The registration for this webinar is free.

Speaker: Prof. Eduardus Koenders, Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany)

Host: Professor Karen Scrivener, EPFL

Title: Benchmarking Chloride Ingress Models on Real-life Case Studies - Marine submerged and Road Sprayed concrete structures

Models to predict the chloride ingress into the concrete cover of existing or new concrete structures are available in various levels of complexity with all having their own peculiarities. This RILEM state of the art report (STAR) on benchmarking chloride ingress modelling is providing the simulation results of a Marine submerged and Road sprayed case study. Background information on the various chloride ingress models, definitions on the diffusion coefficient, benchmarking information, and the basic results of the RILEM TC 270-CIM will be addressed in the ROC&TOC presentation.
