3rd RILEM International Conference on Digital Fabrication with Concrete (Digital Concrete 2022)
In recent years, various types of Digital Fabrication with Concrete (DFC) processes (e.g., extrusion-based concrete printing, shotcrete 3D printing, particle-bed binding, smart dynamic casting, flexible mould, etc.) have been gaining ground. Both academia and industry are working together to transform the way of building manufacturing and construction to tackle the efficiency, free-formability and sustainability issues in the architecture and construction sector. The RILEM International Conference on Digital Fabrication with Concrete (Digital Concrete) sits in the key position to promote this rapidly developing field. With the inaugural conference in the series held at ETH Zurich in 2018 and the second by TU Eindhoven in 2020, the third in 2022 is hosted by Loughborough University, in the UK. The conference will be the first in person session since 2018 which will provide a platform for the key developments in the field and a must attend event for global researchers, engineers and practitioners to share and discuss the latest innovations.
The conference topics include (yet are not limited to):
- Mixture design
- Admixtures
- Rheology & Fresh State Behaviour
- Alternative Materials
- Processing
- Microstructure
- Cold Joints & Interfaces
- Mechanical Performance
- Reinforcement
- Structural Engineering
- Durability
- Sustainability & Environmental Impact
- Design & Applications
- Shaping Technologies
- Automation & Digitization
- Quality Control & Industrialization
- And more…
